Slaked lime, also known as quicklime or calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂), is an inorganic compound. It is a white, powdery solid produced by reacting quicklime (mainly calcium oxide, CaO) with water. This chemical reaction process is called slaking or hydration, and the product is slaked lime.
